Michael Morse, who was scheduled to hit fifth and play first base on Sunday against the Cardinals, was a late scratch due to a sore foot according to Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News. Joaquin Arias will replace him at first base.

Morse stayed in yesterday's game after fouling a ball off his left foot against Michael Wacha in the sixth inning. The San Francisco Giants announced via Twitter that Morse fouled a ball of his foot in batting practice, although they didn't specify which foot.

Morse, who's hitting .295 this season and leads the Giants in home runs with 11, is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak. He missed his first game of the season on May 28, a 5-0 win for the Giants over the Cubs.

After missing three consecutive games due to nerve irritation in his back, Buster Posey is back in action this afternoon. With Morse out, here's the lineup for the final game of this four-game series against the Cardinals.
