Giants notes: Cueto's arrival; Posey sidelined again

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Giants will finally have their full squad in camp on Friday.

After missing nearly three weeks to take care of his ill father, Domingo, Johnny Cueto is scheduled to arrive in Phoenix on Friday. Cueto is traveling with his father, who was hospitalized last month. Their arrival was delayed because Domingo Cueto needed to obtain a visa to travel with his son.

Cueto has been working out at the organization's facility in the Dominican Republic and the staff isn't concerned about the missed time. There is, however, some concern about Cueto's desire to participate in the World Baseball Classic. The Giants had hoped to get Cueto in a couple of spring games before his departure, but that won't be possible at this point. Cueto has not yet announced a decision regarding his participation.

--- A day after he was scratched from the lineup with a stiff neck, Buster Posey was held out of a game against the White Sox. The Giants had hoped that Posey would feel healthy enough to catch Thursday, but he woke up with the same neck issue. There's no real concern, team officials said.

--- If you missed it last night, the Jarrett Parker who once went nuts at the Coliseum has been on display.
