The Dodgers have been making progress on a contract extension with manager Don Mattingly and a deal is expected to be done soon according to FOX Sports.

A deal has been in the works since the end of the 2013 season after the Dodgers were eliminated in the National League Championship Series by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mattingly took the reigns as Dodgers manager in 2011, leading the team to their first playoff appearance since 2009.
