More good news from Stockton as Pablo Sandoval took the field with the Single-A San Jose Giants for his second rehab start in as many nights.
[REWIND: Sandoval off to smashing rehab start]
Sandoval managed to improve on an already impressive Friday night performance going 3 for 3 with an RBI. The Giants third baseman had two singles in his first two at bats against Stockton Ports' 23-year-old righty Tanner Peters.
His third time through the order, Sandoval connected on a solo home run in the fifth inning, his second during this brief rehab stint.
Sandoval is eligible to be reinstated in the Giants roster on June 24, and based on his first two rehab starts that could be happening sooner rather than later.
