The Dodgers have acquired Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett, and Nick Punto from the Red Sox, according to several published reports. The deal is pending league approval.

In exchange, Los Angeles will ship out pitching prospects Rubby De La Rosa and Allen Webster, IFOF Jerry Sands, infield prospect Ivan De Jesus, and James Loney.

BAGGARLY: Dodgers willing to take on toxic assets

Gonzalez, the four-time All-Star who signed a seven-year, 154 million dollar extension with Boston in April 2011, is batting .300 with 15 home runs and 86 RBI this season.

In 45 career games at Dodger Stadium, Gonzalez is batting just .212, the lowest of any park he has played in.

Crawford, who signed a seven-year, 142 million dollar free-agent contract with the Red Sox in December 2010, underwent Tommy John surgery on his left throwing elbow on Thursday. It is uncertain when he will appear in a Dodger uniform.

Beckett, the 2003 World Series MVP with the Florida Marlins, was an All-Star last season but is struggling in 2012. In 21 starts he is 5-11 with a 5.23 ERA.

Punto is batting .200 with one home run and 10 RBI in 125 at-bats this season.
