Report: Giants agree to terms with first-round pick Beede

The Giants have agreed to terms with first-round draft pick Tyler Beede, according to MLB.com

The deal includes a signing bonus of $2.65 million. The recommended value for the No. 14 pick is $2,613,200.

Beede pitched three seasons at Vanderbilt, compiling a 23-14 record and 3.56 ERA in 52 career appearances. He struck out 287 batters in 286 innings pitched.

Vanderbilt defeated Virginia on June 25 to win the College World Series. Beede pitched in Game Two of the series, giving up 10 hits and six earned runs in 6.2 innings, and picked up the loss.
