The Giants still have one empty slot in their starting rotation and may be preparing to fill it with Ryan Vogelsong, according to a report.

The Giants may be more motivated to bring Vogelsong back considering another free agent starting pitcher option just went off the market. According to a report, the Twins have signed right-hander Ricky Nolasco to a four-year, $49 million deal.

Schulman also reported Wednesday that the Giants DFA'd both outfielder Francisco Peguero and catcher Johnny Monell in order to clear roster room for two new additions, left-handed starter Jose De Paula and right-handed reliever Erik Cordier.
