Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro has a left hip muscle strain, according to a report.

Janie McCauley of the Associated Press tweeted Tuesday that he travelled with the team to St. Louis Tuesday morning, but his status for Game 3 on Wednesday is unclear.

Scutaro was hurt on a takeout slide by the Cardinals' Matt Holliday in Game 2 of the NLCS Monday.
