Vogelsong up for Players Choice Award

The Giants' 2011 Willie Mac Award winner, Ryan Vogelsong, is up for another award for his stellar season, this one a Players Choice Award for Comeback Player of the Year.

Vogelsong is among three finalists, joining the Cardinals' Lance Berkman and Mets' Jose Reyes. Balloting for the Players Choice Awards is, appropriately, reserved exclusively for Major League players.

Vogelsong, 34, finished the season 13-7 with a 2.71 ERA. He won nine out of his first 10 decisions, beating his former team Pittsburgh April 28 for his first victory as a starter in 2,412 days. His efforts won him a spot on the NL All-Star roster, and he finished the year fourth in the NL in ERA.
