The Giants couldn't get it done with the arms or the bats, getting shut out 5-0 by the Rockies and ending an abysmal six-game road trip.
A quarter of the way through the season, the Giants' rotation, the assumed backbone of the franchise, is ranked 13th out of 15 NL clubs with a 4.81 ERA.
The Giants attempt to salvage a 2-4 road trip today in Colorado, and will do so without the services of Marco Scutaro or Buster Posey.
