Programming note: Sharks-Ducks coverage begins tonight at 6:30 p.m, and the puck drops in Anaheim at 7 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet California!

ANAHEIMSharks forward TJ Galiardi is expected to make his return to the lineup on Wednesday night against the Ducks.

Hell play on the wing with Dominic Moore and Torrey Mitchell after missing the last six games with whats believed to be a back injury.

We all skate pretty well. Pretty fast line. I think the key for us is just going to be getting it behind their D and trying to get a good cycle going, pretty much like any line, Galiardi said after the morning skate at Honda Center. Were all pretty good at controlling the puck, and were not going to score too many highlight reel goals, its just going to be greasy ones.

Galiardi didnt have a return date in mind when he was injured against Nashville on March 15, but is glad to get back in with six games remaining before the playoffs, should the Sharks qualify.

I dont think I was really planning a day or anything like that, it was more once I felt good enough to go I was going to go. Luckily it came pretty quick, he said. Our training staff here did a great job with me and helped get me back, and Im just excited to get out there and help contribute.

Since he was acquired on Feb. 27 along with Daniel Winnik as part of the trade with Colorado for Jamie McGinn, numerous Sharks players and the coach have referred to Galiardi as having a "rat" factor to his gameas in, he has the ability to get under the oppositions skin. In fact, Joe Thornton recalled that the Sharks pretty much wanted to kill him during the playoff series between San Jose and Colorado in 2010.

Galiardi was asked exactly what that means.

I think if you just play hard and finish your checks, and if I use my skating, it just kind of gets on guys nerves, probably, he said. Its just one of those things I dont really plan on trying to do, it just kind of happens. Its a byproduct of playing hard.

Michal Handzus, who had been playing with Moore and Mitchell, is expected to come out of the lineup in place of Galiardi.

The Sharks have lost four of five games to the Ducks and conclude the season series with Anaheim tonight, before visiting Phoenix on Thursday.
