The Sharks are on the verge of adding former Columbus Blue Jackets head coach, Scott Arniel, as an assistant coach, according to tweet from Rogers Sportsnet Calgary reporter Roger Millions.
Arniel was fired as the Blue Jackets' head coach after 41 games this past season. The Blue Jackets were 11-25-5 at the time of his firing.
In his first year as Columbus' coach, the Blue Jackets went 34-35-13 and missed the playoffs.
