Sharks forward TJ Galiardi has signed with the Bietigheim Steelers team in Germany while the NHLs doors remain locked, according to the official team website.

Galiardi, 24, joins a number of Sharks players that have gone overseas since the lockout began on September 16. Joe Thornton and Logan Couture are in Switzerland; Jason Demers and Tommy Wingels are in Finland, and Douglas Murray is in Sweden. An announcement is expected shortly regarding Joe Pavelski, as well.

Galiardi, who signed a one-year contract extension with the Sharks over the summer, had one goal in 14 games and was scoreless in three playoff games after he was acquired from Colorado at the trade deadline. He had a total nine goals and six assists for 15 points in 69 games with San Jose and the Avalanche.
