2012 second-round pick Quincy Acy was second in scoring for the Kings with 15 points, and led the day with seven rebounds, while 2013 second-rounder Ray McCallum finished behind him with 13 points.
Nik Stauskas, the No. 8 overall selection by the Kings in the 2014 NBA Draft, registered four points.
Minnesota's Shabazz Muhammad posted a game-high 24 points.
The Kings entered the single-elimination tournament as the No. 8 seed after going 2-1 in their first three games.
With Thursday's win, Sacramento advances to the quarterfinals where it will play the top-seeded Chicago Bulls.
