After being linked to Greg Oden, the Kings have reportedly turned their attention to another center, this time Denver restricted free agent Timofey Mozgov.
Kings GM Pete D'Alessandro told the Sacrmento Bee, "If there's a player that comes along who really does make a lot of sense, you don't hesitate to pull the trigger."
But is Mosgov a realistic target? As Jason Jones of the Bee points out, Denver has a right to match any offer for Mozgov, and the Nuggets' only other center on their roster in JaVale McGee.
The Kings could have strengthened their position to potentially land Mozgov if they had exercised the amnesty clause on John Salmon's $7.6 million contract, but the club declined to do so at the Tuesday deadline.
Mozgov averaged 2.6 points in 8.9 minutes over 41 games last season.
