The news that the Kings are interested in Nuggets guard Andre Miller has been around for a week, but they appear to have taken the next step toward a trade. Sacramento has presented the framework for three alternative transactions to Denver, according to a CBSSports.com report.
The first reportedly involves guard Marcus Thornton and a future second-round draft pick.
The second reportedly involves guard Jimmer Fredette and a future second-round draft pick.
Less is known about the third offer, which might be built around power forward Jason Thompson.
Miller, 37, is averaging 5.9 points, 3.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 19.0 minutes over 30 games -- two starts -- for the Nuggets this year. The 15-year veteran is making $5 million and has one year remaining on his contract at $4.625 million.
Miller was suspended by the Nuggets after confronting head coach Brian Shaw and the team has since been seeking a trade.
