Keenan Allen is eyeing some impressive hardware.The Calwide receiver was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, adding to thegrowing list of preseason accolades for the junior. The Biletnikoff Award honorscollege footballs top receiver.Allen has already been named to the Maxwell Trophy WatchList, an award that recognizes the top player in college football. Phil Steelealso recognized Allen as a third-team Preseason All-American and first-teamPreseason All-Pac-12 honoree.Allens preseason hype comes not without merit. He caught 98passes for 1,343 yards last season, both second-best numbers for a singleseason in school history. Allen was one of 10 semifinalists for the BiletnikoffAward and a first-team All-Pac-12 receiver last year.The Greensboro, N.C., native topped 100 receiving yards in five gameslast season, including a season-high 197 yards and a touchdown in Cals 31-23 loss at Washington. He also caught 13 passes for 160yards at Southern California.Allen has 144 career receptions and needs just 58 more tomatch Geoff McArthurs school record of 202. If Allen can match his productionfrom last season, he will also surpass McArthurs Cal-record of 3,188 careerreceiving yards.Allen missed all of Calspractices this spring while recovering from ankle surgery, but he is expectedto be healthy for summer workouts.The Biletnikoff Award has been handed out every year since1994. No Calplayer has ever won the award. The only Bay Area player to take home the awardwas Stanfords Troy Walters in 1999.Cals season begins Sept. 1at home against Nevada.
