Clarke's double-double propels SJSU past Boise State

SAN JOSE -- Brandon Clarke had 21 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday and San Jose State snapped a six-game losing streak to close the regular season with a 68-63 win over Boise State.

Princeton Onwas and Gary Williams Jr. added 14 points each for the Spartans (9-21, 4-14), who will have the No. 11 seed in the Mountain West Conference tournament that starts Wednesday.

San Jose State took the lead for good during the early part of a 13-2 run that ended at 60-51 with 6:01 left. Boise State (20-11, 11-7) closed within 66-63 with 1:21 left but went scoreless from there.

Clarke made 9 of 12 shots including his only 3-point attempt, which was also his first triple of the season.

Anthony Drmic had 13 points and James Webb III and Nick Duncan added 11 each. The Broncos have the No. 3 seed and a bye in the first round.
