Many quarterbacks avoid throwing at the Combine due to timing issues with unfamiliar wide receivers.

The former Heisman Trophy winner has been training in San Diego with esteemed quarterback coach George Whitfield Jr.

Whitfield has worked with former No. 1 draft picks in quarterback Cam Newton (2011) and Andrew Luck (2012) prior to their NFL Draft preparation.

Manziel is familiar with the San Diego native, as he worked with Whitfield prior to his 2012 Heisman winning season.

The 6-foot-1 quarterback has not talked to the the media since his announcement to enter the NFL draft last month.

In his final game with Texas A&M, Manziel went 30-38 passing for 382 yards, five touchdowns and added 73 rush yards in a come from behind 52-48 victory over Duke.

Manziel finishes his college career with 7,820 pass yards, 2,169 rush yards and 93 total touchdowns.

He is a potential top-10 draft pick in the May NFL draft.
