STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford senior forward Chiney Ogwumike was named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America Team, the organization announced Saturday.

With the honor, Ogwumike becomes Stanford’s fourth three-time WBCA All-American joining Nicole Powell (2002-04), Candice Wiggins (2005-08), and older sister Nnemkadi Ogwumike (2010-12).

Ogwumike is a consensus All-American this season, having previously been named to the ESPN, USBWA and Associated Press All-America Teams. 

The Cypress, Texas native has been critical in helping lead the Cardinal (33-3) to its 12th Final Four and sixth over the past seven years where Sunday they will take on No. 1 Connecticut at 6 p.m. on ESPN at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
