SJSU QB named to Heisman Trophy Watch List

CBS Sports and Heisman Pundit released their first Heisman watch list for the 2013 season, and there's a Spartan listed. 

San Jose State senior quarterback David Fales is one of 30 players to appear on the post-spring Heisman Pundit/CBS Sports Heisman trophy watch list.

Fales led the nation last season with a 72.5 completion percentage, and was Top 10 in the country in the following statistical categories: passing efficiency (3rd), passing yards (6th), passing yards per game (7th), touchdown passes (8th).

He broke seven single-season school records in 2012, including passing yards and passing touchdowns and was voted the Most Valuable Player in SJSU's 29-20 win over Bowling Green in the Military Bowl. He was a Sports Illustrated All-American honorable mention. 

Also appearing on the Watch List is Stanford sophomore quarterback Kevin Hogan and reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.
