BOX SCORE

STANFORD -- Tres Tinkle had 19 points and Oregon State never trailed in a 62-50 win at Stanford that gave the Beavers their first road victory in a Pac-12 conference game in more than a year.

Gary Payton added 14 points and Malcolm Duvivier had 11 for Oregon State (15-8, 6-6 Pac 12), which has won three straight.

Rosco Allen scored 12 points to lead Stanford (11-11, 4-7), which lost its fourth straight.

It was just the second win by Oregon State at Stanford since 1993. The Beavers had lost 20 of their previous 21 games at Maples Pavilion, winning only in 2009. The victory was the first for the Beavers in a conference road game since Jan. 17, 2015, snapping a streak of 10 straight road losses in Pac-12 play.

Oregon State opened the second half with an 11-4 run to build an 11-point lead, and a 3-pointer by Payton with 8 1/2 minutes remaining made it 47-35. The Cardinal made a late run, scoring six straight points to pull within 51-46 with three minutes left, but Payton responded with a layup and Stanford never got closer than five points the rest of the game.

The Beavers led 33-29 at halftime after shooting better from beyond the 3-point line (6 of 12) than from inside the arc (6 of 14) in the first half. Duvivier had three of those 3-pointers and Tinkle had two.
