If anyone still has doubts about how well Jim Mora will be able to recruit at UCLA, perhaps it is time to put those concerns to rest. The Bruins received a verbal commitment from one of the top quarterback recruits in the nation on Thursday.
Josh Rosen - a 6′-4″, 207 pound product out of Bellflower, California — placed a UCLA cap on his head today during an announcement press conference Thursday. Rosen is a five-star pro-style quarterback according to Rivals, and the scouting service ranks him as the top pro-style quarterback in the nation. In addition to his status among pro-style passers, Rivals also ranks Rosen as the top recruit in the entire state of California and the second overall prospect in the country. That is quite an addition for Mora, who already has one of the top quarterbacks in the Pac 12 in Brett Hundley.
“A lot went into the decision,” Rosen said, according to Rivals. “I just had to know I’m not going somewhere just to play football, I’m going to a university — a school — for the next four years of my life,” Rosen said. “Ultimately, I felt UCLA was the right decision for me. … I’m definitely going to UCLA.”
