With the Titans in the red zone with six seconds left in Super Bowl XXXIV and down 23-16, Steve McNair threw a pass to the slanting Kevin Dyson inside the five yard line, but Rams linebacker Mike Davis was there to wrap up Dyson at the one yard line as time expired.

This was the beginning of the Patriots' dynasty during the 2000s. Tied 17-17 in Super Bowl XXXVI, Tom Brady led a drive with less than two minutes to go in the game that left kicker Adam Vinatieri a chance at a 48-yard field goal to win the game. He nailed it, and the Patriots would go on to win three Super Bowl titles in the next four seasons.

Joe Namath guaranteed a win over the Colts before Super Bowl III, despite the Jets being 18-point underdogs. He, himself, did not have a great game, but the Jets defeated the Colts and Namath was hailed in the aftermath.

Down 16-13 with just over three minutes to play in Super Bowl XXIII, Joe Montana led a 92-yard drive down the field to set up a John Taylor touchdown to win the third Super Bowl of the Bill Walsh era in San Francisco. It would be Walsh's last game as a head coach in the NFL.

The Giants were down 14-10 to the Patriots with 1:15 left in Super Bowl XLII when Eli Manning faced a third-and-five near midfield. With the Super Bowl on the line, Manning lobbed a pass to wide receiver David Tyree, who pinned the football against his helmet for a moment and hauled it in for a 32-yard gain. A few plays later, Manning found Plaxico Burress for a touchdown and the eventual Super Bowl title to spoil New England's bid at a perfect 19-0 season.
