Despite being the son of former NBA player Dell, Stephen Curry wasn’t offered a major Division one scholarship after high school. The then, 6-foot, 160 pound guard accepted an offer to play at Davidson University. As a freshman, Curry led the Wildcats to a 29-5 record. Steph led the Southern Conference in scoring as a sophomore with 25.5 points per game. In the NCAA tournament, Curry led Davidson past favorites Gonzaga, Georgetown and Wisconsin before losing to Kansas. As a junior the now 6-foot-3 point guard led NCAA with 28.6 points per game, but Davidson failed to make the NCAA tournament.
