Brodie Brazil


Brodie Brazil joined Comcast SportsNet in February 2009. He is the network's rinkside reporter for Sharks telecasts, in addition to studio and field duties in presenting Pre/Postgame Live, SportsNet Central, and SportsNet Reports.

In 14 years of broadcasting, Brazil is a nine-time Emmy Award winner, with a total of 23 nominations for his work. In recent times he has rode 'shotgun' in an IndyCar, grown a 40-day 'playoff beard', and rappelled down a 38 story skyscraper, all in the name of a passion for television. Previously he worked 8 years at KICU-TV in San Jose, hosting High School Sports Focus and Oakland A's pregame broadcasts.

A native of Castro Valley, CA, Brazil attended Castro Valley High School, playing baseball and basketball. He is a graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Brazil is also licensed Commercial pilot, and Certified Flight Instructor. He currently resides in San Francisco, and his namesake is former 49ers quarterback John Brodie.
