The Baggies said Tuesday they will play at the San Jose Earthquakes on July 12 and at the Portland Timbers on July 20.

Between the match against the New York Red Bulls on July 2 at Stanford Stadium and West Brom on July 12, Bay Area soccer fans have an entertaining summer to look forward to, Earthquakes president David Kaval said. West Brom has a rich history dating back to earliest days of English association football and we are excited to have the opportunity to play them here in Soccer City USA.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Bolton and Newcastle also have preseason matches in the U.S.

West Brom is led by legendary manager Roy Hodgson and features one of the top five scorers in the Premiership in Nigerian Peter Odemwingie.

The July 12 match marks the third time the Quakes have faced a team from the EPL. On July 17, 2010, San Jose hosted Tottenham Hotspur and drew a Buck Shaw Stadium record crowd of 10,712. Aston Villa visited San Jose in 1997 at Spartan Stadium.
