Earthquakes defender Ike Opara has been selected to join the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team for their Olympic camp from Feb. 19-29, the team announced in a press release Thursday.

U.S. coach Caleb Porter is looking to finalize his roster prior to CONCACAF qualifying for the 2012 Summer Games in London.

The camp will culminate with a friendly against Mexico on Feb. 29.

I think Mexico is going to be about as close to a qualifying atmosphere as we can possibly get, Porter said. Were going to have, for the most part, our entire group together for the first time.

Opara appeared in 19 games for the Earthquakes over the past two years, his first in MLS. Opara, 22, was drafted No. 3 overall by the Earthquakes in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft.
