Editor's note: NBC's Sunday Night Football color commentator Cris Collinsworth was asked about the Raiders quarterback situation. Below is a transcript of his answer:
Question: Have the Raiders handled this situation with the two quarterbacks the right way or has it been a bad situation?
Collinsworth: I don't know. We'll find out. You know, the Raiders, they are right there. They are pounding the football. Running the ball the other day in the game against Dallas. And certainly they have some ability. But the quarterback position is ultimately going to decide this team. I know I've said it before, but I am surprised if they don't continue to address that position in the offseason. But I will say this, they are fighting out there. I mean, defensively they are slugging it out pretty good. They are pounding the ball running the ball. I think that they are developing, haven't gotten there yet, but they are developing a bit of an edge. A little bit of a hardcore toughness to them. Run the ball, stop the run, try and be physical on both sides of the ball. They don't have the horses to get away with that kind of style yet, but I do think that as we continue to move forward, that's who they are going to be. Unfortunately, you got to try and match points with a team in that division and ultimately, Denver is going to be the high bar that you have to try and hurdle. And I still think it's going to take a high end quarterback to match with what they are trying to do there.
