Linebacker Rolando McClain, a former Oakland Raider, impressed the most important guy to impress with his performance for the Dallas Cowboys in Saturday's preseason game against Baltimore.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones praised McClain, who led Dallas with six tackles, forced a fumble and knocked down a pass.

“I liked what 55 did out there,” Jones said via The Dallas Morning News. “He got some good snaps, more snaps than I thought he might get, and he did real well. We knew and felt that he was good in coverage, and he showed that he drops back good, got a good feel for coverage out there.”

McClain, 25, has retired from the NFL couple of times after being let go by the Oakland Raiders, who drafted him at No. 8 overall in 2010.
