ALAMEDA -- The Raiders have postedthroughout their Alameda locker room a critical quote from former SanDiego and Kansas City coach Marty Schottenheimer as a bit of motivation.

It recounts a longtime Raiders fan calling into SIRIUS radio onMonday, lamenting the Raiders woeful run defense. Schottenheimerapparently offered his two cents as a co-host, so the Raiderstranscribed his words and posted them.

The one constant you can count on in playing theRaiders is that they don't finish. They don't finish plays and theydon't finish games. I always told my players that if they kept playinghard against the Raiders, they (the Raiders) would eventually fold. That is why I knew we would always win. That is still the perceptionaround the league today."

In a combined 15 seasons in the AFC West, coaching the Chiefs andChargers, Schottenheimer was a cumulative 26-5 against the Raiders, including a playoff victory in the 1991 season.
