The Raiders have won the toss, do you wish to defer? Los Angeles has won the toss and will defer. Seattle will receive.

Veteran NFL referee Ed Hochuli mistakenly referred to the Oakland Raiders as the "Los Angeles" Raiders during the pregame coin toss before the game against Seattle on Thursday night at O.co Coliseum.

Hochuli: "Heads is the call. It is tails. The Raiders have won the toss, do you wish to defer? Los Angeles has won the toss and will defer. Seattle will receive. Good luck gentlemen."

Radio play-by-play man Greg Papa reacted immediately after the gaffe on the Compass Media Network:

"Did he just say Los Angeles won the toss? Maybe he knows something we don't."

Stadium uncertainty in Oakland has long fueled rumors that owner Mark Davis could be eyeing a move back to Southern California.

The team moved to Los Angeles in 1982 and returned to Oakland in 1995.
