Injury report: Murray misses another Raiders practice

ALAMEDA – The Raiders got several key players back for Wednesday’s practice, save one glaring omission.

Running back Latavius Murray remains out with a case of turf toe, an ailment that sidelined him all last week.

Jalen Richard, DeAndre Washington and Jamize Olawale filled in admirably in a 34-31 victory over San Diego, but the Raiders certainly missed their top back while averaging 3.6 yards per carry.

It remains uncertain whether he’ll return in time to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was walking without a protective boot the past few days after using one the previous week.

Continuing the curse of the right tackle, Vadal Alexander is the latest to play the position and miss work with injury. He suffered an ankle injury against the Chargers but returned to the game.

Safety Nate Allen returned to work after missing two games with a quadriceps strain. Tight end Clive Walford (knee) practiced after missing the Chargers win, though he was limited in practice two days last week.

Linebacker Malcolm Smith (groin) practiced and is expected to play against Kansas City. He suited up against the Chargers and was available in a pinch.
