ALAMEDA –Terrelle Pryor has not yet been cleared to practice. The Raiders quarterback was unable to participate in Wednesday’s session after suffering a concussion in Monday’s game against Denver.
Backup quarterback Matt Flynn took first-team reps during the open portion of practice.
Other players returned after suffering concussions recently. Outside linebacker Sio Moore, who was concussed in a Sunday car accident, passed NFL-mandated concussion tests and was back on the practice field. So was cornerback Tracy Porter, who suffered a concussion in the third quarter of Monday’s loss.
Left guard Lucas Nix returned to practice after sitting out with an ankle injury. Defensive end Jason Hunter was not dressed with an undisclosed ailment.
There are two distinct clearance levels after concussions. An NFL player can be cleared for practice without being cleared for contact. Raiders coach Dennis Allen will update the team’s injury situation after practice.
