The Raiders claimed Coye Francies on waivers after the defensive back was released by the Seattle Seahawks Monday, the team announced.
Francies, listed at 6'1" and 185 pounds, played in eight games with the Cleveland Browns from 2009-10. He also could help the Raiders in the return game, as he has returned three kickoffs with a 22.0 yard average per return this preseason.
The Raiders waived defensive back Conroy Black on Tuesday to make room on the team's active roster. The team's press release also announced that OL Zach Hurd (head), FB Rashawn Jackson (hip), and OL Ed Wang (shoulder) have been moved from waivedinjured to injured reserve.
