ALAMEDA -- The Raiders claimed linebacker Martez Wilson off waivers on Wednesday afternoon from the New Orleans Saints.

Wilson played outside linebacker in the Saints' 3-4 defensive scheme, but has played each linebacker spot and defensive end in the 4-3 alignment the Raiders use. He’s expected to play linebacker with the Raiders.

The 6-foot-4, 252-pound third-year pro has played 33 games with one start. He has 30 tackles, five sacks and a forced fumble in that span.

The Raiders waived defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi in a corresponding move. With Bilukidi gone, defensive lineman Jack Crawford is the only active member of the 2012 draft class. Receiver Juron Criner has been inactive all season, offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom is on injured reserve and linebacker Miles Burris remains on the physically unable to perform list. Linebacker Nate Stupar now plays for the 49ers.
