ALAMEDA – The Raiders are in discussions to hold joint practices with the Dallas Cowboys in training camp.
Nothing is finalized yet, but coach Dennis Allen said Monday that the teams were talking about a series of inter-team sessions at the Cowboys camp in Oxnard.
“We’re talking to the Cowboys, but nothing is done yet,” Allen said. “It’s something we’re looking in to. We’ll see where it goes.”
If an accord were reached, it would be the first joint practices held under Allen’s tenure. These sessions work to break up the monotony of camp and elevate the level of play in practice.
The Raiders last held joint practices in the 2008 and 2009 preseasons, when they squared off against the 49ers at the Raiders facility in Napa.
