College career: Jackson is a four-year starter, over 52 games at left guard. According to, Jackson did not give up a sack over the last two seasons. Jackson was also a two-time captain, fitting in with a desire to add team-first players to the roster.

Scouting report: Jackson has exceptional strength, sound fundamentals and knows how to control defenders. He’s a four-year starter, and has shown durability and toughness. Jackson can give ground to strong defenders, and had an exceptionally slow 5.63-second 40-yard dash.

How he fits:The Raiders loaded up along the offensive line this season, including the guard position. They signed veteran guard Kevin Boothe and plan to experiment with free-agent right tackle Austin Howard at guard. Jackson will be allowed to develop into a strong interior presence as seasons progress.
