ALAMEDA – Raiders fullback Marcel Reece couldn’t finish Sunday’s practice with a right foot injury. He couldn’t go Monday either, and was seen sporting a small walking boot on his ailing appendage.
Problem is, the Raiders don’t know exactly what’s wrong with it. The second-team All-Pro will have an MRI in the coming days to shed light on the matter, and the Raiders a better idea of what they’re dealing with.
“We’re going through the process of trying to determine exactly what he’s got going on there,” head coach Dennis Allen said. “He did not practice today. We’ll see where he’s at for the game.”

Reece’s injury occurred during Friday’s exhibition against Detroit, but he tried to practice on it Sunday. He was pulled quickly to ensure it didn’t get worse.
Reece doesn’t need much time to prepare for the regular season, so missing a bit of time wouldn’t hurt much. He ranks among the team’s best skill players, and starting the regular season without him would not be ideal.
