The Oakland Raiders are taking more steps to test the relocation waters in Las Vegas.
On Monday, the Raiders distributed an 83-question survey through the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce according to the Las Vegas-Review Journal.
The survey, emailed to 10,000 addresses in the chamber’s database, was distributed to gauge interest in the Raiders’ relocation to Las Vegas and a new stadium that would serve as the new home for the team.

The Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce developed the survey in partnership with the Raiders at no cost to the team as a community service.
The same chamber took part in a similar survey as part of bringing an NHL franchise to Sin City.
According to the Review-Journal, the survey seeks answers ranging from level of interest in the team coming to Las Vegas to preferences in stadium seating but does not include questions about stadium funding.

The Raiders signed a one-year lease extension with Oakland-Alameda Coliseum for 2016, with two one-year lease extensions built in. There has been minimal progress trying to build a new facility in the East Bay. Team and public officials seem stuck over the cost of land on the Coliseum site and where the MLB’s Oakland Athletics, who also call the Oakland Coliseum home, fit into a new development.

In a recent statement, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf said “I continue to believe the Raiders can develop a new stadium in Oakland that is responsible to the team, its fans, the NFL and the taxpayers of Oakland. Oakland has worked hard to contribute the entitlements, development opportunities and infrastructure funding to our shared vision of a stadium-centered development at the Oakland Coliseum. I’m committed to continuing to work hard to realize this vision."
