Raiders cornerback D.J. Hayden was released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon and is resting comfortable at home, according to a Raiders spokesman.

Hayden, 22, had a procedure to remove scar tissue from his abdomen after he suffered severe stomach pain following Oakland's first OTAs on May 20. Hayden was hospitalized late last week.

It is still unclear if the incident is related to the life-threatening injury Hayden suffered at a Houston Cougars practice last year, when a teammates knee tore the inferior vena cava in his chest.

The rookie is expected to miss the remainder of the Raiders offseason program and rejoin the team July 29 for its training camp in Napa.

The Raiders made Hayden the 12th overall pick in this year's draft, but he has not yet signed his rookie contract with the team.

Cornerbacks Tracy Porter and Coye Francies missed practice Tuesday with a calf injury and illness, respectively. The health concerns leave the Raiders thin at the corner position, with Taiwan Jones, Chimdi Chekwa, Mike Jenkins, Joselio Hanson, Chance Casey and Mitchell White are all on the roster.
