The Raiders brought more veteran free agents to the team facility on Friday. The team hosted left tackle Donald Penn and defensive lineman Antonio Smith in hopes of signing both players to a contract before leaving town, a source confirmed.

Smith achieved great success as a defensive end in Houston’s 3-4 scheme. He's a solid interior pass rusher and a decent run stopper. He had 22 tackles, five sacks and a forced fumble last season. He is yet another 30-plus lineman being courted by the Raiders. Lamarr Woodley and Justin Tuck signed with the team on Thursday.
Penn flew in Thursday night, but tweeted that he has other trips to set up beyond Oakland. Signing him would make up for the sudden loss of Rodger Saffold following a failed team physical.
According to reports, the Raiders also plan to host in Baltimore offensive tackle Michael Oher and Arizona guard Daryn Colledge. The Baltimore Sun reports that Oher will visit Oakland on Saturday. They are also in the running for Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner.
Veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was also released by the Tennessee Titans on Friday and could be a candidate to sign with Oakland as a stopgap solution in 2014.
