ALAMEDA – Terrelle Pryor’s knee injury didn’t get worse overnight. The Raiders quarterback got hurt late in Sunday’s 49-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and was removed from the game.

Pryor said Sunday night the move was precautionary and that his knee felt stable.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Monday that Pryor is day-to-day with a knee sprain.

“He seemed to be doing pretty well this morning,” Raiders coach Dennis Allen said. “We evaluate him again in the morning and continue to do so as we go forward.”

Allen believes running back Darren McFadden’s hamstring strain is of greater concern than Pryor’s knee. He missed most of Sunday’s loss after re-aggravating the same muscle that kept him out earlier this season.

“We’ll see how they feel on Wednesday morning,” Allen said. “That will dictate their availability.”

OF NOTE
Veldheer focused on conditioning: Left tackle Jared Veldheer was more active than ever last week after being allowed to ramp up his activity. Allen said Veldheer is focused on conditioning, so he’s able to play quickly after being cleared to practice.

On the way back: Allen said center/guard Andre Gurode (quadriceps) is close to a return to game action. He’s closer than tackle Tony Pashos (hip), who could miss another week at least.

Branch update: Safety Tyvon Branch made significant progress in his rehab from a fractured fibula, but Allen said he remains a few weeks away.

New injuries: Allen said that receiver Juron Criner suffered a shoulder injury late in Sunday’s game. He also said kicker Sebastian Janikowski has a rib injury. As Allen stated Sunday night, receiver Rod Streater (hip), tackle Matt McCants (toe) and linebacker Kaluka Maiava (ribs) also suffered injuries.
