Raiders injury report: Silver and Black healthy after bye

ALAMEDA – The bye week did the Raiders some good. They are extremely healthy starting practice for Sunday’s game against the host San Diego Chargers, with just one injured player out of Wednesday’s practice.

Defensive tackle Justin Ellis continues to miss time with a sprained left ankle, but that’s about all concerning the Raiders on the injury front. Safety Charles Woodson skipped Wednesday’s padded practice with a shoulder injury, per his routine since getting hurt in Week 1. He will be fine to play on Sunday.

Defensive lineman Denico Autry returned from a concussion, and running back Latavius Murray was a full participant after missing time with a shoulder injury.

Running back Taiwan Jones is also back in the fray, ready to play after a few weeks out.

“Its never easy missing time,” Jones said. “It drives you crazy not being able to help the team, especially in close games. I’m healthy now and ready to make a contribution. Hopefully I can give this team a spark.”

The bye week couldn’t save end Justin Tuck, who was placed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle. Head coach Jack Del Rio said Tuck will still be an active part of the team moving forward.

“We’ll miss him on the field, but he’s going to remain a leader,” Del Rio said. “He’s a captain. He’s going to remain a part of this program and do everything he can. He’ll still be a captain. He’ll still be a guy who is involved in everything we’re doing. He’s just not able to play on Sundays.”
