ALAMEDA –David Ausberry was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, a great sign that the Raiders will have a full compliment of tight ends heading into Sunday’s regular season opener at the New York Jets.

“It was encouraging to see David Ausberry out there this week,” offensive coordinator Greg Olson said. “He’s run around pretty well, without any limitations. We’re excited to get him back.”

Ausberry missed nearly a month recovering from knee surgery, but returned to practice on Monday. He ran with the first unit before getting hurt, but second-year pro Mychal Rivera should hold a starting spot against the Jets.

-- Middle linebacker Nick Roach (concussion) was cleared to practice on Wednesday, but has not been cleared to play on Sunday. The Raiders have just five linebackers on the roster and four currently healthy, suggesting the team is confident Roach will return in time. Regardless, the Raiders will use their entire depth chart.

“We know what these guys can do,” defensive coordinator Jason Tarver said. “We’re going to use them all in games. They’re all valuable players.”
