Tollefson provides much-needed depth to the Raiders' defensive line in general, their pass rush in particular, after Oakland lost the services of linebacker Kamerion Wimbley to free agency.
The Walnut Creek native has 10 12 sacks and 81 tackles in 63 career games over the past five years with the New York Giants, as well as a pair of Super Bowl rings. Last season, he had a career-best five sacks in 16 games.
