Raiders' McKenzie attends Clowney's pro day

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie attended Jadeveon Clowney’s pro day on Wednesday morning, joining an audience full of coaches and executives with picks near the top of the NFL draft.

The Raiders select No. 5 overall, but it’s highly unlikely Clowney will be available at that selection. Clowney might go first overall, and few believe he’ll make it past Jacksonville at No. 3.

NFL Network analysts lauded Clowney’s athleticism early in an exhibition designed to showcase Clowney and the University of South Carloina’s pro prospects.

Pro days are but a small part of the evaluation process, and it’s generally doesn’t change opinions formed from college game tape and other parts of the pre-draft process.
