The NFL announced offseason practice schedules on Thursday afternoon, including the Raiders slate.
The Raiders’ offseason workout program will begin on April 22, a day after teams with returning head coaches can get started.
The team will hold formal Organized Team Activities (OTAs) May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5 and June 9-12. Those sessions are technically voluntary, but generally hold perfect attendance.
The Raiders’ mandatory minicamp will run from June 17-19.
A post-draft rookie minicamp will likely be added to this schedule, but it has not been formally announced.
These sessions will be important for a team with tremendous turnover, especially on defense. It will allow these players, including new quarterback Matt Schaub, to acclimate themselves to a new scheme and new terminology.
All workouts will be conducted at the team complex in Alameda.
