The Oakland Raiders' ticket initiative program to provide funding to local schools raised 54,323 for the Oakland Unified School District.

The Raiders donated ten percent of all season tickets purchased in May and June to Oakland schools, and the community involvement was not lost on Oakland native and Raiders running back Taiwan Jones.

"To be able to help give back and to see the Raiders help give back, I really appreciate that and I encourage others out there to do the same," Jones said.

Raiders CEO Amy Trask said at the time of the announcement, "We are thrilled to announce our newest youth and community based initiative and we are delighted to assist the Oakland Unified School District."
