ALAMEDA -- The Oakland Raiders have re-signed free agent K Kevin Goessling, GM Reggie McKenzie announced Wednesday.

Goessling was waived three days prior on Sunday to make space for tight end Kyle Auffray.

Goessling, who spent time with the Raiders earlier this month in training camp, was a three-time All-Western Athletic Conference selection at Fresno State. Goessling played in 52 games over four years at Fresno State (2008-11), scoring 373 points and converting 61-of-81 field goal attempts during his collegiate career. He hit a career-long 58-yard field goal as a redshirt freshman.

To make room on the roster, the Raiders have waived/injured S Jeremy Deering.
